About the Role

CNA Hardy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our Exposure and Catastrophe Management (ECM) team in London. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in supporting underwriters and the business by providing high-quality catastrophe modeling output and knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide pre and post-bind catastrophe modeling analysis for all relevant classes of business, ensuring timely and accurate results.
  • Produce monthly portfolio packs for relevant classes of business, containing essential information for underwriting and management teams.
  • Contribute to catastrophe response efforts, providing modeled exposure numbers to the ERM group as requested.
  • Support the implementation of APIs into the catastrophe modeling and aggregate entry workflow.
  • Assist with data preparation for submission to reinsurers and brokers.
  • Advise the business on the application of expert judgments to catastrophe modeled results.
  • Support management with ad hoc CAT modeling and/or exposure management projects.

Functional Requirements

  • Maintain accurate and efficient catastrophe modeling and aggregate records.
  • Contribute to catastrophe model validation and evaluation of model vendors.
  • Keep up to date with events and contribute to event response work.
  • Undertake peer reviews and provide feedback.
  • Support modeling system upgrade testing.
  • Comply with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Actively participate in internal and external meetings.

Operational Requirements

  • Demonstrate awareness of data governance framework and escalate material issues.
  • Operate within agreed authority levels.
