Exposure and Catastrophe Management Senior Analyst

CNA Hardy is seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst to join our Exposure and Catastrophe Management (ECM) team in London. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in supporting underwriters and the business by providing high-quality catastrophe modeling output and expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain catastrophe models to accurately assess and manage exposure risks.
  • Provide timely and accurate portfolio packs for underwriters and management, including EP curves, RDS exposures, and AAL contributions.
  • Contribute to catastrophe response efforts, providing modeled exposure numbers and working closely with group-wide colleagues.
  • Support the implementation of APIs into the catastrophe modeling and aggregate entry workflow.
  • Develop tools to optimize the portfolio and assist with data preparation for submission to reinsurers and brokers.
  • Advise the business on the application of expert judgments to catastrophe modeled results.
Functional Requirements:
  • Maintain accurate and efficient catastrophe modeling and aggregate records.
  • Contribute to catastrophe model validation and evaluation of model vendors.
  • Participate in event response work, including identification of exposures and communication with relevant stakeholders.
  • Undertake peer reviews and provide feedback and support as required.
  • Support modeling system upgrade testing and ensure compliance with functionality and operational requirements.
Operational Requirements:
  • Demonstrate awareness of and adherence to data governance framework, risk management, and document management policies.
  • Operate within agreed authority levels, as determined by the Board.
