European Insights Manager

Westfalia Fruit is seeking an experienced Insights Manager to join our European team. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our European strategy by leveraging data to provide actionable insights, drive category growth, and support our commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the collection and analysis of market, customer, and shopper data to identify opportunities for growth in key product categories.
  • Deliver insights that inform pricing, promotional, and sales strategies across Europe.
  • Oversee the development and execution of category plans in collaboration with the Commercial teams.
  • Lead the communication of category performance to key internal stakeholders, including senior leadership, to ensure alignment with broader business goals.
  • Act as the insight's expert in customer engagements, delivering data-driven recommendations that enhance relationships and commercial outcomes.
  • Lead insights presentations and workshops with key European retail partners, highlighting growth opportunities based on customer and shopper trends.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, to ensure data and insights are effectively integrated into commercial strategies.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in a market research, insights, or category management role.
  • Strong knowledge of the fresh produce industry.
  • Fluency in English is essential; with additional fluency in a second European language (German, Dutch, French or Spanish).
  • Proven ability to translate data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with experience using key data sources such as Nielsen, Kantar, GfK, or similar.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in working with cross-functional teams and leading customer-facing insights presentations.

Desirable:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field; a master's degree is desirable.
  • Industry-specific certifications in market research or category management.
  • Prior experience in working across multiple European markets with a strong understanding of market dynamics and customer behavior.
