Position Overview:

This role is integral to the senior management team within the Finance Directorate at FGH (Freemans Grattan Holdings). The Finance Business Partner will deliver extensive financial guidance to a designated department, while also playing a pivotal role in shaping strategic initiatives. Key functions include month-end financial reporting, strategic financial planning, commercial advisory, and the establishment of robust financial controls.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Work in close collaboration with the Director and senior leadership to provide insightful financial analysis that informs critical decision-making.
  • Spot and leverage opportunities for operational enhancements and performance optimization.
  • Create detailed financial schedules, develop business cases, and establish frameworks for project accounting.
  • Ensure that financial reporting is precise and aligns with the overarching business goals.
  • Lead the financial planning and forecasting processes, including the preparation and review of budgets.
  • Produce month-end financial statements accompanied by comprehensive commentary.
  • Oversee both internal and external audits while ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are meticulously maintained.
  • Provide financial leadership within the team, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and experience in finance business partnering.
  • Professional finance qualification complemented by relevant industry experience.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting methodologies.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and financial modeling.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Capability to build effective business relationships and provide constructive challenges.
