Senior Data Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Tampa Gardens Senior Living. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality datasets and data pipelines to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of data infrastructure, data quality, and data-informed decision-making initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to promote data-driven development practices and ensure high data literacy across engineering teams.
  • Design and implement data models that tie together disparate data sources and assist in building an ecosystem of analysis-friendly datasets.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality datasets and data pipelines in Python and SQL on BigQuery and GCS.
  • Work closely with engineers, data scientists, and team leads to design and promote shared methodologies for data-informed decision-making.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in developing data products using Python and SQL.
  • Proven track record of taking open-ended analytics goals and translating them into production-quality datasets.
  • Strong proficiency in data modeling, data access, and data storage techniques.
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses (e.g. BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake) and performance optimization, data partitioning, and window functions.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
