Position: Senior/Lead Technical Artist

Location: Middlesbrough office

Key Responsibilities:
  • Innovate and devise solutions for intricate challenges
  • Encourage the reuse of assets across various projects
  • Ensure the team possesses essential technical expertise
  • Advance technological limits to achieve outstanding visual outcomes
  • Foster effective communication between creative and technical departments
  • Enhance performance while preserving artistic integrity
  • Design and uphold technical pipelines, tools, and workflows
  • Mentor and guide junior team members to facilitate their development

Qualifications:

  • Over 6 years of experience as a Technical Artist within the gaming industry
  • Deep knowledge of Unreal Engine
  • Proficient in 3D modeling, texturing, animation, lighting, and related fields
  • Experience in optimizing game assets and refining workflows
  • Familiarity with procedural systems and dynamic lighting techniques
  • Expertise in real-time 3D graphics and rendering technologies
  • Demonstrated experience in mentorship
  • Willingness to travel to the Middlesbrough office twice a week

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Programming background
  • Experience with Maya or other 3D software tools
