As the Nursing and Midwifery Workforce Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our workforce. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure we have the right people, with the right skills, in the right place at the right time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the Nursing and Midwifery workforce, ensuring effective recruitment, retention, development, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement workforce plans aligned with Trust strategic objectives and national policy.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders across the organization to ensure seamless integration of workforce planning with service delivery.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement within the workforce, promoting innovation and best practice.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on all aspects of nursing and midwifery workforce management.
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Extensive experience as a clinical practitioner within the NHS.
  • Proven track record in workforce planning and modelling.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • In-depth understanding of current NHS policy and legislation.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Experience of working with national programmes and initiatives.
  • Change management qualification.
  • Teaching experience in clinical practice.
