Job Title: Rheumatology Specialist Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Rheumatology Specialist Nurse to join our team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will work as an expert practitioner in Rheumatology Nursing, providing advanced level care to patients with rheumatological conditions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide routine information to Consultants, Senior Managers, and Nursing colleagues relating to Rheumatology.
  • Work alongside internal and external colleagues to ensure the effective delivery of the Rheumatology service.
  • Plan, organize, and maintain a caseload of patients, including screening, treatment, and education through nurse-led clinics and helplines.
  • Work to the level of a Specialist Nurse Practitioner, providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with rheumatological conditions.
  • Undertake Primary Care sessions as an independent Nurse, working collaboratively with colleagues in Paediatrics, Dietetics, and Psychology.
  • Administer appropriate medications using the Trust's Policy and procedures.
  • Act as a patient advocate on a regular basis.
