About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced midwife to lead our Maternity Vaccination Programme. As a Vaccination Specialist Midwife, you will work autonomously within a multi-disciplinary team and in partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders to provide effective professional leadership to the Maternity Vaccination Clinics.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide effective professional leadership to the Maternity Vaccination Team.
  2. Provide oversight and day-to-day support and supervision of the Maternity Vaccination Clinics, contributing to the delivery of a safe, professional, effective, and efficient service.

Person Specification
  • Midwife with current/active NMC registration
  • Degree in Midwifery, or willing to work towards
  • Recognised leadership course, or willing to work towards
Requirements
  • Awareness of professional responsibilities and scope of practice
  • Evidence of continuing education and CPD
  • Knowledge or evidence-based practice
  • Understanding of confidentiality
  • Ability to motivate others through change
Working Arrangements
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and that of other staff
  • Willing and able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service
