Job Summary:

Pro Talent is seeking a highly skilled Audit Senior to join our dynamic team and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality audit and assurance services to our clients in the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of audit engagements for a diverse range of clients, ensuring compliance with relevant auditing standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead on-site audit teams, providing guidance and support to junior team members and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Perform detailed tests and analytical procedures on financial statements and audit workpapers to verify accuracy and identify potential issues.
  • Evaluate internal controls and make recommendations for improvements to enhance client processes and reduce risk exposure.
  • Prepare comprehensive audit reports, summarizing findings, and providing valuable insights to clients and management.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs, and addressing any audit-related inquiries.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting and auditing standards, ensuring the application of up-to-date methodologies and best practices.
  • Assist in the training and development of audit trainees, contributing to their professional growth and skills enhancement.

Requirements:

  • ACA or ACCA qualified, with a strong background in external audit gained within an accountancy practice.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading audit engagements, managing teams, and delivering high-quality audit services.
  • Thorough knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and auditing standards, with a commitment to maintaining technical excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective interactions with clients and colleagues.
  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail, enabling the identification of potential risks and opportunities during audits.
  • Proactive and results-oriented approach, with the ability to manage priorities and meet tight deadlines.
