Position Overview:

Our client is in search of a highly qualified Senior Audit Supervisor to take charge of their audit division, directly reporting to a Partner within the firm. This role is crucial to the organization, as you will manage audit assignments, enhance operational processes, and play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the practice.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee and direct audit assignments for a diverse range of clients across multiple sectors, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and professional guidelines.
  2. Establish and nurture robust client relationships, acting as a trusted consultant on audit-related issues and offering valuable insights to improve their business practices.
  3. Coordinate the planning, execution, and reporting phases of audits, including risk evaluation, materiality assessment, and audit testing procedures.
  4. Review and assess audit documentation, financial reports, and associated disclosures to guarantee precision, thoroughness, and compliance with relevant standards.
  5. Guide and mentor audit team members, offering support on technical issues, career development, and performance enhancement.
  6. Promote continuous improvement initiatives within the audit department, adopting best practices, tools, and technologies to boost efficiency and effectiveness.
  7. Contribute to the formulation of firm-wide policies, procedures, and methodologies to align with their modernization and transformation objectives.
  8. Stay informed about regulatory updates, emerging trends, and industry advancements pertinent to auditing and accounting standards.

Requirements:

To excel in this position, candidates should possess:

  • ACA / ACCA qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience in external auditing within a public accounting environment, with a focus on managing audit assignments and client interactions.
  • Strong technical expertise in auditing standards, financial reporting obligations, and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of engaging effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven leadership skills, including the capacity to inspire and develop team members, drive outcomes, and cultivate a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with data analytics tools is advantageous.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.
