About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Care Home Manager to join our team at NHS Scotland. As a Care Home Manager, you will be responsible for providing strong leadership, management, and coaching skills to our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Lead and manage a large team of care staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and training to provide excellent care.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans, ensuring they are tailored to the individual needs of our residents.
  • Work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery and excellent patient outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including the Care Inspectorate and the Scottish Social Services Council.
  • Collaborate with our operational and professional leadership team to drive quality improvement and excellence in care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with our residents, their families, and our community partners.
Requirements
  • SVQ 4 Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Care Home Manager.
  • Proven experience in a similar leadership role, with a track record of delivering high-quality care and improving patient outcomes.
  • Excellent leadership, management, and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of current evidence-based practice and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
