Maternity support specialists play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and essential information, collaborating closely with midwives and other healthcare professionals to ensure excellence in maternal services.

We are looking for dedicated, adaptable, and motivated individuals who are committed to providing exceptional care at all times.

This position involves a set number of hours, distributed over several days at specified hours each day. You will work in conjunction with teams focused on Birth Reflections, Healthy Lifestyles, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Antenatal Newborn Screening, Infant Feeding, and Vaccinations. Your primary location will be within the hospital, with potential travel to various sites as needed. You may also be required to assist in acute maternity wards as clinical demands arise.

Please be aware: This position does not qualify for overseas sponsorship.

Main Responsibilities

As a key member of the maternity team, you will collaborate closely with registered midwives to provide a high standard of care to women in a compassionate and secure environment. You will contribute to the broader team efforts in enhancing and sustaining services offered to women, ensuring the safe, efficient, and smooth operation of the ward or clinical area. It is essential to uphold the dignity and privacy of all women and to respect their right to confidentiality.
