About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Midwife Practitioner to join our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our maternity care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to women and their families throughout pregnancy, labour, and the postnatal period.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide continuity of care, advice, and support to women and their families
  • Assess care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate programs of care within the practice area
  • Provide and maintain high standards of midwifery care
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Participate in the on-call rota for the service and develop the ability to take charge on a shift-by-shift basis
Requirements
  • NMC registration as a midwife
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with women and their families
  • Good health record and smart professional appearance
  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage time effectively
  • Belief in and commitment to a women-centered philosophy
