Maternity Healthcare Leadership Position

The clinical directorate for maternity plays a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and achieving national and local targets and standards.
As a key operational role within the division, the clinical director for maternity will be accountable for ensuring services are patient-focused and for achieving national and local targets and standards. The post holder will join a directorate triumvirate and work with the directorate manager and the director of midwifery, supported by the division. The post holder will also provide visible leadership to all staff within the clinical directorate and support the divisional director in delivering the strategic plan for the division.
Main duties of the job include:
- Performance management and monitoring to ensure effective delivery of clinical services
- Clinical governance, ensuring that clinical services are safe, effective, and responsive to patient needs
- Business planning and service development to improve the quality of care and services provided
- Workforce management and development to ensure that staff are equipped to deliver high-quality patient care

The estimated salary for this position is £80,000 - £100,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a competitive salary for a clinical director position in the NHS.
