This role encompasses 24 hours of work spread over 4 days, with 6 hours each day. You will collaborate with various teams including Birth Reflections, Healthy Lifestyles, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Antenatal Newborn Screening, Infant Feeding, and Vaccinations. Your primary location will be within our facilities, with potential travel to other sites as needed. You may also be required to assist in acute maternity wards based on clinical demands.

Key Responsibilities
As a member of the maternity team, you will support and work closely with registered midwives to provide a high standard of care to women in a nurturing and secure environment. You will contribute to the development and maintenance of services for women, ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of the clinical area. It is essential to uphold the dignity and privacy of all women while respecting their confidentiality rights.

Job Responsibilities
As part of the maternity team, you will collaborate with registered midwives and sonographers to deliver exceptional care to women in a supportive and safe environment. You will be involved in the ongoing development and maintenance of services for women, contributing to the efficient operation of the clinical area. It is crucial to maintain the dignity and privacy of all women while ensuring compliance with all relevant policies.
All new entrants to the role, including Nursing Assistants, Theatre Support Workers, Maternity Support Workers, and Assistant Practitioners, are expected to complete the Care Certificate within the first 12 weeks of employment if they have not already done so in previous roles. The Care Certificate consists of 15 standards outlining explicit learning outcomes, competencies, and expected behaviors for a Nursing Assistant. The Oxford University Hospitals Support Worker Academy team provides an enhanced induction program to facilitate the necessary training and education for maintaining quality assurance and timely compliance.
