Maternity Support Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking enthusiastic and hard-working individuals to assist us in providing quality care and information to women in a caring and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside midwives and the wider professional teams to achieve excellence in maternity care.
  • Provide breastfeeding support, maternal observations, and other duties as required.
  • Contribute to the safe, efficient, and smooth running of the ward/clinical area.
  • Maintain the dignity and privacy of all women and respect their right to confidentiality.
  • Support and closely work with registered midwives and sonographers to deliver a high standard of care.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 22.5 hours required per week.
  • Ability to work 50% unsocial hours, including night shifts and weekends.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including 12.5 hours from or.
  • Ability to maintain a generic and specific portfolio of clinical competencies and/or the Care Certificate.
