Position Overview

Maternity support specialists play a vital role in delivering high-quality care and information, collaborating closely with midwives and multidisciplinary teams to ensure excellence in maternal health services.

We are looking for dedicated, adaptable, and motivated individuals who are committed to providing exceptional care at all times.

This role involves working hours spread across various days, with a daily commitment of hours. You will engage closely with teams focused on Birth Reflections, Healthy Lifestyles, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Antenatal Newborn Screening, Infant Feeding, and Vaccinations. Your primary location will be at the designated hospital, with potential travel to other facilities as needed. You may also be called upon to assist in acute maternity wards as clinical demands arise.

Key Responsibilities

As a key member of the maternity team, you will work alongside registered midwives to provide a high standard of care to women in a compassionate and secure environment. Your role will include:

  • Collaborating with the wider team to enhance and sustain services offered to women.
  • Contributing to the safe, efficient, and smooth operation of the ward or clinical area.
  • Upholding the dignity and privacy of all women while respecting their right to confidentiality.
