Key Responsibilities- Oversee financial planning, management, budgeting, and reporting for all group companies.
- Supervise the finance team to ensure accurate and timely preparation of management accounts (including KPIs), forecasts, and annual accounts.
- Manage the finance team, including setting goals and conducting performance evaluations.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the Board.
- Manage cash flow and treasury, including relationships with funders.
- Oversee the Financial Controller in:
- Preparing statutory annual accounts.
- Preparing the company's tax return and related correspondence with HMRC.
- Assume responsibility for payroll from the Managing Director.
- Manage credit risk.
- Assist the Managing Director in reviewing prices and managing risks for new transactions.
- Provide support as needed in commercial negotiations with clients and suppliers.
- Value investments, including leading M&A and similar projects.
- Manage the office property portfolio.
The ideal candidate should be based in the north of London, possibly near Milton Keynes/Peterborough, with easy access to London and the M1/A1 for visits to our Yorkshire office.
