About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team in Northenden, supporting adult females with severe and enduring mental health diagnoses. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing high-quality support and care to our service users, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide practical assistance with daily living tasks, such as personal care and household management.
  • Support and facilitate access to a wide range of activities that promote personal wellbeing, including gardening and music.
  • Work collaboratively with service users to develop and implement individualised support plans, promoting their recovery and independence.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service policies and procedures, ensuring a high standard of quality of life for service users.
  • Provide line management support and supervision to junior staff members, promoting their development and well-being.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience of working in a mental health setting, with a focus on supporting individuals with severe and enduring mental health diagnoses.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, colleagues, and external agencies.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins, as part of a rolling rota.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care, and experience of supervising staff.
