We are seeking a Lead Support Specialist to join our dedicated team within the South Manchester Mental Health Service, focusing on empowering adult females facing significant mental health challenges. This role involves providing comprehensive support, including fulfilling sleep-in duties as part of a rotating schedule.

The service is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for personal care, ensuring that we meet the highest standards of care for our residents.

We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and compassionate individual with strong leadership skills to assist women in achieving greater independence. The role involves working closely with residents using trauma-informed care, recovery-oriented practices, and person-centered approaches.

As a Lead Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for those we support, collaborating with residents and partnering with various agencies involved in their care and support planning.

You will receive exceptional line management support and professional development from a CQC-registered manager, joining a well-established and experienced team.

Our service model emphasizes personalized support planning and strong key worker relationships, aiming to facilitate women's recovery journeys and pathways to independence.

Your responsibilities will include providing practical assistance with daily living, promoting personal well-being through a variety of activities, overseeing staffing needs, and maintaining excellent communication with senior colleagues.

This role requires flexible shifts on a rolling rota to cater to individual needs in a personalized manner. Experience in supervising staff and relevant qualifications are desirable.
