Position Overview

The Sourcing Specialist plays a pivotal role in assisting the new product introduction team lead by comprehensively understanding the sourcing needs of the organization. This position involves developing and executing small to medium-sized Requests for Quotations (RFQs) in alignment with company protocols, while also employing project management principles to effectively communicate progress to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with various stakeholders to fulfill business requirements promptly.
  • Utilize proactive problem-solving skills to maximize value delivery.
  • Ensure optimal value for goods and services, balancing quality and scheduling needs while adhering to established strategies.
  • Engage with the on-site indirect team, Buy Desk, Accounts Payable support, and other relevant functions to resolve supplier-related issues.
  • Assess current and future needs to identify potential suppliers.
  • Work alongside key business partners to guarantee that sourced goods and services align with organizational needs.
  • Solicit and assess proposals using effective negotiation and cost analysis techniques.
  • Monitor supplier performance and devise strategies for improvement to meet business objectives.
  • Work in close partnership with stakeholders on managing high-value purchase orders (POs).
  • Implement sound procurement practices to ensure compliant acquisition of goods and services that adhere to applicable regulations.

  • Demonstrates the ability to complete tasks within deadlines while maintaining open communication with stakeholders and the sourcing lead.
  • Experience in sourcing and procurement.
  • Proven track record in sourcing or purchasing, including negotiation and supplier selection skills to ensure timely execution.
  • Ability to fulfill commitments effectively.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to influence others.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities, along with strong PC and database management skills.
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills, exhibiting sound judgment and a diplomatic approach.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.

Security Clearance Requirements

This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, which must be maintained. If BPSS clearance cannot be obtained, eligibility for the role may be affected.
