Role Overview

Due to an increase in demand and the acquisition of new contracts, we are looking to expand our procurement team. As a Procurement Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing material sourcing, fostering supplier partnerships, and negotiating pricing while ensuring compliance with quality, quantity, and delivery standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Management:
    Identify, negotiate, and acquire materials, components, and services, primarily from suppliers across the UK and Europe.
  • Supplier Relationship Development:
    Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to guarantee timely delivery and superior quality of materials.
  • Market Analysis:
    Monitor industry trends to pinpoint potential supply risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Cost Management:
    Conduct regular cost assessments to discover and implement cost-saving measures.
  • Supplier Evaluation:
    Assess and select suppliers based on their quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Performance Reviews:
    Conduct supplier performance evaluations and manage relationships to ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Process Improvement:
    Support the development and enhancement of procurement processes to boost efficiency and accuracy.
  • MRP System Utilization:
    Leverage the MRP system to monitor, manage, and optimize purchasing activities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Work closely with production, technical, quality, and finance teams to align procurement efforts with organizational goals.
  • New Product Development:
    Participate in projects to source and qualify new suppliers and materials.
  • Compliance Assurance:
    Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in a procurement role, ideally within a manufacturing context.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage procurement in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
  • Proficiency in MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills for conducting cost analysis and market research.
