About the Role

We are seeking an experienced IT Programme Manager to join our team at BSI. As a Programme Manager, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of multiple projects within a programme, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and lead the delivery of projects within a programme, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives and meet the required quality standards.
  • Develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and actual costs to ensure programme delivery is within budget.
  • Ensure the application of BSI's Solutions Delivery Change Framework to all programmes, ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with IT Business Partners to shape the programme of work and provide ongoing support.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, business units, and project sponsors, providing guidance and support to ensure programme delivery.
  • Participate in strategic business meetings, forums, and workshops to gain insights and benefit the programme and the wider IT Solutions Delivery Team.
  • Establish and manage programme reviews to ensure compliance with the Solutions Delivery Change Framework and continued business benefit.
  • Monitor and manage programme/project risks, planning and implementing responses accordingly.
  • Empower and inspire programme resources to deliver successful outcomes, providing development and coaching support as needed.
  • Seek independent feedback from senior stakeholders, business units, and project sponsors to ensure continuous improvement and share learnings internally.
  • Produce tailored programme status updates and management information to suit individual stakeholder needs.
Requirements
  • Project management methods and techniques, including stakeholder management, planning, dependency management, issue and risk management, budget, and resource management.
  • Business case development.
  • Stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict management.
  • Understanding of business and political drivers that influence stakeholders' behaviours.
  • Ability to look ahead for potential problems and take preventative or mitigating actions.
  • Effective communication of project status.
  • Change management and business/operational readiness.
  • Agile delivery experience and expertise.
  • Experience of supplier contracts, statements of work, and working with third-party vendors.
