Position Overview

The Communications and Marketing Specialist will be instrumental in executing and assessing marketing initiatives and campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Content Development: Create captivating content for various platforms including social media, blogs, press releases, campaign materials, newsletters, and website content.
  • Social Media Oversight: Develop, schedule, and track organic social media content, staying updated on trends and analyzing performance metrics.
  • Campaign Management: Oversee multi-channel content schedules, ensuring cohesive and engaging messaging across all communication platforms.
  • Media Engagement: Identify and craft compelling narratives to present to media outlets, enhancing the organization’s visibility.
  • Digital and Print Materials: Collaborate with teams to produce effective digital and printed resources for campaigns and publications.
  • Influencer Collaboration: Assist in engaging new influencers, media representatives, and suppliers to broaden the organization’s outreach.
  • Family-Centric Content: Generate materials that prioritize family narratives, ensuring their experiences are represented in communications.
Candidate Profile:
  • Proven experience in executing integrated marketing strategies and managing social media platforms.
  • Background in the nonprofit sector.
  • Experience collaborating with marketing agencies and freelance professionals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, content management systems, social media scheduling tools, Canva, and Adobe Suite.
  • Able to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational abilities and capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
