Transformative Role in Digital Banking

HSBC, a leading digital first bank, is seeking a senior digital leader to spearhead its HR Technology platforms and align with Group HR People priorities. This strategic role will require the management of global HR Technology resources and the implementation of services tailored to regional requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent the Technology function for HR and lead the HR Technology team to deliver on agreed outcomes.
  • Partner with the HR Transformation team, Global HR Service Owners, and Technology Transformation team to drive end-to-end customer and colleague digital journeys.
  • Oversee global HR Software Delivery, including budget management, people management, vendor service management, contracts, and risk management.
  • Build and maintain relationships with HR and Technology Leadership, representing HR on all Technology matters and strategy.
  • Agree on business strategy and priorities with the book of work and budget, ensuring mandatory regional/country requirements and SaaS upgrades and maintenance are addressed.
  • Optimize HR Technology resources globally, leveraging the capabilities of staff in both central and regional teams, and ensuring the right skills mix.
  • Manage global teams, including data processing design, development, testing, conversion, and production support.
  • Report to the CIO for Corporate Functions and provide senior management with an overall comfort level and technological positioning of HR Technology in line with strategy and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a large multi-national organization, preferably in a regulated industry such as Financial Services, Pharmaceutical, or Consumer Goods.
  • Experience in running large platforms and digital transformation, with a digital leader who has driven end-to-end digital customer and colleague journeys.
  • A team leader who has managed professionals across multiple geographies and time zones.
  • Any experience with HR processes and HR platforms is desirable.

Location: This role is based in London, with some travel required.
