Business Development Lead

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Commercial Manager to join our team at Veolia ES (UK) LIMITED. As a key member of our commercial operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the commercial interests of our delivery team are protected and promoting good working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Commercial Management: To ensure that at all times the commercial interests of the delivery team are protected and that all commercial activities are conducted in accordance with Veolia's policies and procedures.
- Leadership and Management: To lead, mentor, and manage staff within the team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Contract Management: To demonstrate awareness of and assist the site team to ensure compliance with all HSEQ and statutory regulations, as well as managing subcontracts and supporting project procurement.
- Reporting and Analysis: To provide timely and good quality management reports to the Senior Commercial Manager and the senior leadership team when requested.
- Commercial Support: To provide commercial support to other business departments and manage day-to-day commercial issues and administration.
- Experience: A proven track record in stakeholder management and problem-solving, with experience working for a main contractor in the energy sector.
- Qualifications: A relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification, with thorough knowledge of forms of contract including NEC.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
