Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Sales Manager to join our team at Universal Business Team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving business growth and revenue expansion in the contractors and trade market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve budget targets in your territory.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with contractors and trade merchants.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment of sales efforts.
  • Manage and maintain an up-to-date opportunity pipeline to ensure timely follow-up and conversion.
  • Generate leads and referrals through proactive engagement with clients and architects.
  • Support the specification team by providing market intelligence and insights to guide project registration and sales efforts.
  • Provide regular updates on key opportunities and sales performance at weekly sales meetings.
Contractor Engagement
  • Engage with relevant contractors to build relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Utilize industry tools and resources, such as Glenigan, to prospect new opportunities and stay informed about market trends.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with top 100 UK contractors in your territory.
  • Conduct telemarketing and introductory meetings to raise awareness and drive sales.
  • Coordinate proposal preparation and follow-up with specified and break spec opportunities.
  • Regularly review and discuss account management and pipeline performance with contractors.
Contract Merchant Branches
  • Engage with contract merchant branches to ensure effective communication and alignment of sales efforts.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to obtain relevant contact details from buying groups and nationals.
  • Conduct telemarketing and work with regional BD managers to amplify sales and marketing efforts.
  • Organize market, legislation, and product training sessions to educate contract merchant branches.
  • Coordinate and follow up on quotes and proposals within 24 hours.
  • Regularly review and discuss account management and pipeline performance with contract merchant branches.
