Our esteemed client is undergoing significant growth and is in search of a Cell Supervisor with a solid manufacturing background.
Key Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Production Supervisor and Planner, you will be responsible for managing work schedules within your designated area and providing leadership to your team. You will monitor manufacturing performance against established SQCDP metrics and implement best practices. Additionally, you will oversee training requirements within your area and actively guide your team on performance and operational information.
Main Duties
- Provide daily leadership, guidance, and coaching to cell employees.
- Motivate team members to achieve cell objectives and production goals.
- Track, assess, and report on production performance as part of the SQCDP metrics.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety regulations.
- Assist in analyzing production data to identify root causes of issues and proactively address them.
- Identify training needs based on role requirements and skill matrix.
- Act as the 5S Champion and Continuous Improvement lead for the cell.
- Conduct daily stand-up meetings (DSUMs) to ensure SQCDP metrics are met.
- Perform regular personnel development reviews with team members.
- Support scrap analysis processes.
- Justify overtime in accordance with departmental budgets and the Production Supervisor.
- Maintain accurate time attendance records for the cell.
- Champion problem-solving initiatives within the cell.
- Collaborate with Operations management as part of the planning process.
- Serve as a deputy for the Production Supervisor when necessary.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
- Manage non-conforming products until a material review board decision is made.
- Complete other reasonable tasks as requested by management.
- Be flexible and provide support outside of regular duties during periods of reduced staffing to ensure customer satisfaction.
Occasionally, you may be required to undertake additional duties, including training, departmental tasks, and temporary assignments in other areas.
