Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cell Leader to join our team at AMETEK. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of production employees and ensuring the efficient operation of the cell.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members to achieve cell objectives and production targets.
  • Monitor and record production performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety procedures and regulations.
  • Assist with the analysis of production data to identify root causes of problems and implement solutions.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Act as a 5S Champion and Continuous Improvement lead for the cell.
  • Participate in daily stand-up meetings to review SQCDP metrics and discuss production performance.
  • Undertake regular personnel development reviews with team members.
  • Provide first-pass support for scrap analysis processes.
  • Justify overtime working in line with department budget and Production Manager.
  • Ensure time attendance system is accurate and up-to-date for the Cell.
  • Champion cell-contained problem-solving exercises.
  • Liaise with Operations management as an integral part of the planning process.
  • Deputise for the Production Manager when required.
Requirements
  • Sign off purchase orders in line with financial guidelines.
  • Not permitted to change Business Management System processes, procedures, and guidelines without formal approval.
Company Responsibilities
  • Take responsibility for understanding the Business Management System and its application to the role.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety requirements at all times.
  • Report any issues that could potentially affect the business to the manager.
  • Carry out duties in line with Company policies and procedures.
