About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ear, Nose and Throat Specialist to join our team at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust. As a Consultant Otolaryngologist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide a comprehensive Ear, Nose and Throat service to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of conditions.
  • Work closely with Consultant and Senior colleagues to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Participate in medical audit and research to improve patient outcomes and contribute to the development of new treatments and procedures.
  • Take part in the out-of-hours On-Call service for the department, providing telephone advice and support to patients and colleagues.
  • Provide cover for Consultant and Senior colleagues during periods of leave, ensuring continuity of patient care.
  • Contribute to the development of new services and initiatives, working closely with the Divisional Manager and Consultant colleagues.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Full registration and a licence to practise with the GMC On the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT from the date of interview Entry on the GMC Specialist Register via: CCT or CESR (CP) - proposed CCT/CESR (CP) date must be within 6 months of interview CESR or European Community Rights
  • Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCST in Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery. Demonstrable training and expertise in sub-specialty area to complement existing consultants
  • Evidence of audit and the implementation of change following the audit
  • Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of problems both emergency and elective within ENT Surgery
