Job Overview

As a Project Scheduler at King and Moffatt, you will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining effective project planning controls and ensuring precise reporting across various projects.

This position will be based from our office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a comprehensive baseline schedule using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project software, adhering to company protocols, industry standards, and client requirements.
  • Utilize schedule hierarchy to formulate delivery schedules and effectively communicate these to the project team.
  • Design separate and integrated templates and model programs for three key phases: Pre-construction, Construction, and Commissioning.
  • Generate detailed schedules encompassing design, procurement, installation, and project closeout.
  • Integrate trade contractors' schedules into the overall company schedule hierarchy.
  • Facilitate communication regarding scheduling and project control issues among all project team members, including the company, clients, design teams, and trade contractors.
  • Oversee progress reporting and the integration of progress data into the company's reporting systems.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, producing weekly and monthly dashboards and reports.
  • Participate in the change management process to assess the impact of changes on the project timeline.
  • Develop and manage the commissioning schedule.
  • Create commissioning KPIs and reporting frameworks.
  • Conduct time impact analyses to support extension of time claims.
  • Review extension of time claims submitted by trade contractors.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior staff members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience as an M&E Planner, preferably in high-end residential or commercial building services projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Project is essential.
  • Experience in construction planning within Mechanical/Electrical Building Services contracting is required.
  • Strong communication skills and meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to generate comprehensive reports.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, enabling effective interaction with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently while adhering to strict timelines.
