Clinical Lead Nurse for Neurological Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead Nurse to join our team at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development of an expert specialist service that has a consistent and sustainable impact on the experience of patients and carers with neurological care needs across the Trust.
Main Responsibilities- To improve standards of neurological care by facilitating the development of practice and strengthening leadership to ensure that patients with long-term neurological conditions and their families/carers have a quality experience including a thorough holistic assessment and a plan of care to address their individual needs.
- To oversee and support the team in the development and implementation of a consistent and effective service and to improve outcomes in neurological care across the Trust.
- To act as a clinical expert in Parkinson's care providing expert advice at clinical and strategic level.
- In liaison with the Consultant Nurse and other members of the multidisciplinary team to facilitate the development of neurological care at clinical, Trust and Network level.
- In liaison with the Matron and Consultant Nurse to support the development of staff caring for patients with neurological care needs.
- With the Consultant Nurse to contribute to clinical governance within the Trust via practice development initiatives.
- To work collaboratively with the Consultant Nurse in developing and implementing neurological care strategies.

Requirements- Registered nurse with a minimum of 5 years post-registration experience.
- Post-registration qualification in a relevant specialist field.
- Advanced communication skills training.
- Significant post-registration clinical experience with relevant specialist senior role.
- Experience of managing a team.
- Experience in teaching and facilitating.
