Band 7 Lead Nurse - Urology Services
We are seeking a dedicated Lead Nurse to oversee the Urology Services team, enhancing both management and leadership capabilities.
This role presents an exciting chance to become part of a committed team that delivers exceptional nursing care to patients within the Urology and surgical specialties.
The Urology Services unit consists of 21 inpatient beds and a Rapid Assessment Clinic, catering to a diverse range of elective and emergency care needs.
We are in search of an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with outstanding communication, leadership, and team-building skills to join our supportive and dynamic team, ensuring the highest standard of care for our patients.
Informal visits to the department are encouraged.
Key Responsibilities
This position offers opportunities for further educational development in areas such as leadership and team management.
Candidates must demonstrate experience in ward management and the ability to support junior staff and students.
Guidance will be provided by the Lead Nurse and Matron regarding roster planning, financial oversight, and addressing complaints while collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to enhance patient experiences.
Candidates will be expected to lead and support change initiatives within the unit, focusing on patient safety and quality of care.
