Job Summary:
Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our client's team, providing exceptional personalised nursing care for our service users. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in leading our care team to deliver high-quality support to service users and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Line Management: Healthcare Assistants
- Collaboration: Nursing team and multi-disciplinary team
- Shift Leadership: Taking charge of shifts in the absence of a Senior Nurse/Team Leader
- Volunteer Support: Working alongside and supporting volunteers within the team
- Representation: Representing the service at internal and external meetings
- Communication: Maintaining effective communication with all departments
Additional Responsibilities:
- Initiative and Problem-Solving: Using initiative and problem-solving skills
- Clinical Area Management: Taking charge of the clinical area in the absence of the Senior Nurse
- Coping Strategies: Demonstrating effective coping strategies in a stressful environment
- Care Audits and Research: Participating in care audits and research activities
- Equipment and Resource Management: Maintaining responsibility for equipment, resources, and stock control
Leadership and Supervision:
- Team Support: Providing support, leadership, recognition, and supervision to team members
- Knowledge Sharing: Demonstrating activities to new or less experienced colleagues
- Education and Training: Supporting education, training, and guidance to carers, colleagues, and students
- Clinical Care Planning: Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualised clinical care
- Evidence-Based Practice: Using evidence-based practice to improve service users' care
- Service User Participation: Ensuring service user participation in care planning
- Care Management: Managing service users' care during shifts and liaising with medical and nursing colleagues
- Confidentiality and Safety: Adhering to all policies and procedures, maintaining a safe working environment, and confidentiality
Requirements:
- NMC Registration: NMC Registered Nurse
- Student Supervision: Completion of NMC Standards for Student Supervision and/or Assessment or willingness to complete training
- Continued Professional Development: Evidence of continued professional development
Desirable Skills:
- Effective Communication: Effective communication skills
- Legislation Knowledge: Knowledge of current legislation within the independent care sector
- Neurological or Palliative Care Experience: Experience in neurological or palliative care is desirable
- Teamwork and Leadership: Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Clinical Standards: Competent in implementing and monitoring clinical standards
- Leadership and Supervision: Demonstrable leadership and supervision skills
- IT Skills: Competent IT skills
