Job Summary:
Venn Group is seeking a highly skilled Building Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the Building trades operations and maintenance work across our sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Building Operational Staff: Directly supervise the building operational staff at our sites, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to carry out their duties effectively.
- Multi-Trade Works Supervision: Supervise all multi-trade works applicable to Building disciplines, including asbestos, fire safety, drainage, glazing, balconies, roofing, carpentry, painting and decorating, pathways, roads, grounds, and floor repairs.
- Staff Recruitment and Selection: Assist with the recruitment and selection of staff, ensuring that we attract and retain the best talent in the industry.
- Asset Condition Surveys and Audits: Undertake asset condition surveys/audits, including risk assessments and statutory information relating to fire safety, and report back to the line manager.
- Risk Assessments: Ensure that risk assessments are completed as appropriate, and that all necessary actions are taken to mitigate any risks identified.
- Planned Maintenance and Emergency Works: Review, devise, implement, and roll out planned maintenance (PPM) tasks and emergency works, ensuring that our sites are always safe and well-maintained.
- Maintenance Planning: Plan maintenance activities, including staff rotas and overtime works, allocating staff and physical resources as needed.
Requirements:
- Commercial Experience: Experience managing trades staff within a commercial environment, with a proven track record of success.
- Full UK License and Vehicle: A full UK license and access to your own vehicle, with a clean driving record.
