About the Role

The Deputy Service Manager will play a vital role in supporting and empowering vulnerable young people by managing a team delivering an assessment, support, and move-on service to care leavers in supported accommodation and outreach services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deputise for the Pathway Manager during periods of absence, ensuring seamless service delivery, including external meetings with commissioners.
  • Manage service delivery at accommodation services and outreach, overseeing staff teams and ensuring effective housing management.
  • Provide relevant reporting, including health and safety requirements, to comply with Housing Associations and legal obligations.
  • Ensure the highest standards of support to young people and work towards KPI targets in areas such as housing management and safeguarding.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, promoting the services and raising the profile of the organisation.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Significant management experience, including supervising teams and individuals.
  • Experience in sound decision-making processes, considering complex situations and risk management, including safeguarding children and young people.
  • Experience in safe service delivery to young people at risk.
  • Good literacy, numeracy, and IT skills.
  • Experience in operating safeguarding requirements and procedures.
  • Commitment to promoting diversity and equality, ensuring respect and dignity for all individuals.
