Job Title: Lead Supply Chain Strategist (Construction)

Location: Hybrid working arrangements available. Please discuss options with your recruiter.

Salary: Competitive salary up to £60,000 based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the development of sourcing strategies while identifying potential risks and challenges.
  • Creating and overseeing procurement plans that align with stakeholder needs, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Providing commercial and supply chain assistance to project delivery, leading the procurement process including tender preparation, assessment, and contract award.
  • Conducting negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal commercial outcomes for the organization.
  • Ensuring lifecycle costing principles are integrated into pre-ITT processes, including contributions to Make vs Buy analysis and contractor selection, while reporting on cost efficiencies.
  • Facilitating the formulation of supply chain strategies and spearheading their implementation.

Required Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Proven experience in supply chain management within the construction sector.
  • In-depth understanding of JCT and NEC construction contracts.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of business and procurement methodologies, processes, and strategies.
  • Experience in managing contract and supplier performance.

Desirable:

  • Experience on the client side.
  • MCIPS qualification.
  • MRICS qualified or in progress, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience in public sector or regulated environments.
