As the Lead Supply Chain Strategist, you will take charge of enhancing and overseeing the inbound operations, particularly focusing on the 'Fresh' category. Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement and Supply Chain operations, you will guide a dedicated team to ensure excellence in service delivery for both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement a forward-thinking strategy for inbound supply chain operations to guarantee optimal availability for our clientele.
  • Direct your team in establishing the most effective ordering and delivery timelines to secure supply and minimize waste.
  • Foster and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers to leverage commercial advantages, collaborating closely with Procurement and Food Safety and Quality teams to enhance our supply network.
  • Exhibit robust performance management of suppliers to achieve high On Time and In Full scores, including the introduction of a new claims process to support compliance.
  • Streamline inbound operations across the warehouse network, identifying cost-saving opportunities while ensuring minimal disruption to overall operations.
  • Drive innovation within the function through agile project execution, adapting to a dynamic growth environment and implementing changes swiftly to meet defined objectives.
  • Conduct independent analysis of internal data to generate insights, propose alternative solutions, and deliver clear recommendations.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, balancing daily operations with long-term strategic goals. Define new metrics and reporting methods to foster data-driven decision-making.
  • Inspire and mentor your team to achieve results and realize their potential, providing coaching and guidance as needed.
  • Collaborate with Inventory teams to oversee stock accuracy, process adherence, capacity, and inventory valuation.

  • Holds a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Brings a minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, particularly in the perishables sector, ideally within the food industry.
