Business Development Specialist

About the Role:
Cranleigh STEM is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Development Representative to join its team. As an Inside Sales Specialist, you will play a key role in driving the growth of the company's direct business in the UK and German territories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and generate revenue from a specific account base, working closely with Territory Sales Managers (TSMs) in these regions.
- Collaborate with TSMs to understand customer needs and develop sales strategies.
- Partner with TSM and Regional Sales Manager (RSM) teams to overcome obstacles and secure new business.
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold-calling, lead follow-up, and outbound communications.
- Expand the database of prospects within the territory.
- Work with TSMs to develop a strong sales pipeline and close deals.
- Drive profitable sales growth to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Occasionally conduct online product demonstrations as required.
- Regularly use and update the CRM platform (MS 365) to manage territory information.
- Ensure compliance with all organizational policies, programs, and relevant legal requirements.
- Exhibit a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset, with strong business acumen and a focus on driving sales growth.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Sales Operations Manager.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in business management, life sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in B2B sales.
- Experience in the food & beverage or life sciences market is preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Proficiency in sales negotiation.
- Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator is advantageous.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas.
- Strong phone presence with experience in high-volume calling.
- Experience using Dynamic CRM.
Language Skills:
Fluent in English – ESSENTIAL. Fluent in German – HIGHLY DESIRABLE.
