Main Purpose of Job:
Provide facilities and maintenance support services to labs, ensuring they meet the needs of the organization and its employees.
- Support the Lab Services Manager with equipment contracts and repairs.
- Manage asset data, warranties, and service contracts through CAFM systems.
- Interface with scientific colleagues and lead discussions as needed.
- Raise purchase orders and ensure Finance is aware of bills to be paid.
- Liaise with service engineers and the Facilities Management team.
- Input lab service agreements, including renewals, cost negotiations, and service levels.
Experience & Knowledge:
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience in managing laboratory asset maintenance.
- Understanding of laboratory equipment and facilities management infrastructure assets.
- Managed multiple tasks, including contractor administration.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Desirable:
- Knowledge of laboratory categories, infrastructure, and maintenance.
- Worked in a support function in the biotech/pharmaceutical sector.
- Used a Computerised Maintenance Management system.
- Worked with contractors and raising maintenance contracts.
Education & Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSE's qualified or equivalent
- MS Excel
