REHAB Basel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Worker to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support services to individuals with Intellectual Disability and Mental Health Difficulties within our respite care setting.

As a Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in enhancing the well-being and quality of life for our service users. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including:

  • Person-Centered Care: Delivering tailored services that meet the unique needs and preferences of each individual.
  • Personal Assistance: Providing support with daily living activities, such as personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
  • Respectful Interactions: Fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where individuals feel valued and respected, ensuring their choices are honored.
  • Engaging Activities: Participating in educational and recreational programs designed to stimulate and enrich the lives of our service users.

We are looking for a candidate who possesses:

  • A QQI Level 5 in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in a residential or respite care setting, particularly with individuals facing intellectual and mental health challenges.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with service users and colleagues.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality care and upholding ethical standards.
