About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our team at Cygnet Delfryn. In this rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to lead and empower a team of nurses and support workers, ensuring high-quality care is delivered to our service users.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise a team of nurses and support workers, allocating tasks effectively and within individual competencies.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff, fostering their professional development through training and supervision.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and improve service quality through audits and initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in mental health nursing by attending training sessions and engaging in continuing professional development (CPD).
  • Conduct appraisals, audits, interviews, and disciplinary procedures as required.
  • Ensure individual care plans are comprehensive and maintained in accordance with the Mental Health Act 1983 and NMC guidelines.
  • Coordinate, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care programs.
Your Skills and Experience:
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse with a current Pin number.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team of healthcare professionals.
  • Strong understanding of the Mental Health Act 1983 and current nursing practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to patient recovery and risk management.
  • Ability to promote service user independence and empower staff.
