About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Interventions Team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in providing therapeutic interventions to children and young people who are experiencing emotional and mental health difficulties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people with complex mental health needs
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop effective care plans
  • Provide education and training to staff and families on mental health issues
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse qualification and relevant post-registration training
  • Experience in teaching and group work
  • Knowledge of child and adolescent mental health issues and normal/abnormal child development
  • Excellent assessment and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
