We're seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to expand our business footprint in the Midlands and Northern region. As a pivotal player at First Response Group, you'll be instrumental in driving our future growth by securing new and lucrative contracts.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Business Development Manager, your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Proactive sales initiatives to identify and cultivate profitable new business opportunities through market research and strategic planning.
  • Fostering relationships with existing and potential customers to build strong relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Preparing and submitting comprehensive tenders, PQQs, RFIs, and other relevant documentation to secure new contracts.
  • Targeting and acquiring clients across both the private and public sectors, tailoring approaches to meet specific needs.
  • Networking proactively with potential customers at industry events, conferences, and through strategic partnerships to expand the client base.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate completion of quotations, proposals, and other necessary paperwork to facilitate smooth transactions.
  • Developing and maintaining an efficient sales database to track leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.
  • Achieving and surpassing individual sales targets, providing regular progress reports directly to the Sales Manager.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align sales strategies with overall business goals and enhance customer experience.
  • Staying updated on industry trends and competitor activities to identify new opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
Essential Skills

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills to foster strong, lasting partnerships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in IT skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and other relevant software.
  • Advanced negotiation skills with the experience and credibility to engage effectively at senior levels, both internally and externally.
  • A flexible approach to travel, accommodating the needs of clients and business opportunities across various regions.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to adapt to changing circumstances and client requirements.
  • A proactive attitude towards continuous learning and professional development to stay ahead in the industry.
  • High levels of organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
