Financial Controller for Middle East Operations

Deliveroo is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our global reporting team in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reporting on the Middle East region of the business, including monthly reporting, working with auditors, and ensuring statutory requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and review financial reports for the Middle East region, including monthly P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Work closely with the local Middle East Finance Strategy and operational teams to ensure a thorough understanding of all accounting entries.
- Assist the local Middle East Finance Strategy with any queries on monthly reports.
- Monthly variance analysis of P&L and Balance sheet, including working with other Finance sub-departments to fully understand monthly actuals.
- Prepare statutory accounts for Middle East entities in accordance with local accounting standards.
- Work with external auditors to fulfill their requests and answer their queries.
- Accountancy qualification: ACA, ACCA or CIMA with 2+ years of post-qualified experience in a relevant industry role.
- Technical accounting knowledge.
- Good working knowledge of IFRS15.
- A desire to take responsibility and 'own' your work.
- Experience with delivery results – you are willing to create results.
- A desire to work in a fast-paced, frequently-changing environment with targets designed to improve a major global market.
