Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Analyst to join our team in Middle Office, Financial Control. As an Operational Analyst, you will play a key role in the successful completion of our core controls and reporting, producing regular reporting, and leading and contributing towards projects and change initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Core Controls and Reporting: Play a key role in the successful completion of our core controls and reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Produce regular reporting, including weekly reconciliation reports, incident management reporting, and ad-hoc analysis to support our risk management function.
  • Project Leadership: Lead and contribute towards projects and change initiatives, impacting our team's functions and operations.
Requirements
  • Financial Products Knowledge: Good understanding of financial products and customer banking, with an obvious interest in our operations and how we support them operationally.
  • Financial Controls: Good understanding of financial controls and an appreciation for the integrity of financial data and reporting.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to synthesise complex issues and communicate them to senior stakeholders in an understandable way.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Desirable Criteria
  • Customer Service Focus: Strong focus on providing customer service and meeting the needs of key stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient user of Excel, comfortable with lookups, basic macros, IF functions, and other Microsoft suite of applications.
  • Control Environment Experience: Previous experience working in a control environment, including using a reconciliation system.
