About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional pastoral leader to join our team as a Head of Year at Walthamstow Academy. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the academic, social, and emotional well-being of our students.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of tutors to provide high-quality pastoral support and academic guidance to students.
  • Monitor and evaluate student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and developing targeted interventions to support student achievement.
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement, motivation, and well-being.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the academy's pastoral and academic policies.
