Job Title: Deputy Head of Year

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head of Year to join our team at Bishop Challoner Catholic School. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Year Leader in the professional leadership and management of the year team and student cohort.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing, leading, and developing systems and procedures to enhance standards of achievement, behaviour, and personal development for all pupils in the year group.
  • Support the Year Leader in the day-to-day management of the year team, including staff supervision and student welfare.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to promote a positive and inclusive school culture.
  • Work closely with other members of the leadership team to ensure effective communication and collaboration across the school.
Requirements:
  • High expectations of pupil attainment and behaviour.
  • A good track record of monitoring student progress to ensure all achieve.
  • Inspire, challenge, and motivate pupils to reach their full potential.
  • Knowledge of a range of positive strategies to deal with whole classes and groups of pupils.
