**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and development of the home, working closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality care and support to children and young people.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Service and Practice Management:**
- Develop and deliver high-quality care in accordance with individual educational plans, relevant legislations and regulations, and the organization's policies and procedures.
- Implement all company policies and procedures, including the Children's Home Regulations 2015, and ensure compliance with Ofsted inspections.
- Develop and promote new techniques and approaches to childcare provision based in the home.
- Share responsibility for the home with the support of the Registered Manager, including on-call responsibility.
- Ensure the home is maintained to a high standard and is well-presented.
- **HR Management:**
- Ensure the appropriate induction program is made available to new adults in the home in line with the organization's policies.
- Identify, plan for, and meet adults in the home development, including oversight of the development of practice learning and Diploma.
- Ensure that adults in the home receive adequate support and supervision and annual appraisals.
- Organize and chair regular team get-together meetings.
- Undertake the investigation of grievances, complaints, and disciplinary matters in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
- **Financial Management:**
- Monitor the service budget and all financial transactions, ensuring financial targets are achieved and adhered to.
- Ensure the home's budget is maintained.
- Ensure that the overall maintenance of the home's premises and equipment meets requirements.
**Requirements:**
- Level 3 Diploma with Children & Young People
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare or a willingness to undertake this qualification
- At least 1 year's experience of supervising colleagues
- Strong understanding of Safeguarding
- Strong understanding of professional boundaries and how to maintain them
